I have served on the board of the Ronald McDonald House of Durham on and off for the last 15 years, and have served on the RMHC of NC Board for the past two years.
Before I became an operator and before I was asked to serve on the board, I volunteered at the Durham house. I did everything from making beds and cleaning rooms to baking cookies and answering phones. I met so many incredible families during my volunteer years that I knew I would always be connected to the house in some way. I learned from the inside out how important the houses are to these families at the most difficult time of their lives.
Once I became a McDonald's operator it was impossible to continue volunteering so I am thrilled to continue to help by serving on the board. I sincerely hope RMHC will always be a part of my life.
