Every year, thousands of people across North Carolina participate in a unique, casual Friday that helps “share” the cost of a family’s stay in one of our of Ronald McDonald Houses. Starting last week and throughout the next several weeks, local supporters and businesses will join Ronald McDonald Houses across the state in wearing and participating in the Sport A Shirt, Share A Night fundraiser. By sporting the $10 shirts, families, co-workers and teams will be providing families with a “home-away-from-home” while children receive medical care in our communities. The Ronald McDonald House of Winston-Salem kicked things off last Friday with teams from local doctor’s offices, insurance companies and even big names like Sam’s Club and Wells Fargo all sporting shirts.

RMHC of NC Community Grants
RMHC of NC is proud to provide grants for non-profit organizations supporting children in communities across North Carolina. Our program gives to organizations impacting children in the areas of health care, education, and social services.
On April 17th, RMHC of NC awarded the Raleigh Dream Center (RDC) a grant for $10,000 to fund the expansion of the organization’s after-school KidzJam program and to launch a new RDC tutoring program.
Husband and wife team, Jeremy and Candace Porras, opened the Raleigh Dream Center in 2014 to provide resources and support to under-privileged communities in the Triangle area. “The Raleigh Dream Center has made an incredible impact in our community over the past 4 years,” said Barry Traub, local McDonald’s Owner/Operator and member of the RDC board, “it is our honor to partner with an organization that does so much to support and advocate for children in under-privileged communities.”
The deadline for RMHC of NC’s Spring Grants Program is right around the corner as the application deadline is April 30.
